Visited this time With Mars Lander, Ssssshhh, Luckpants and Perjury Saint. Whilst I really enjoyed the first trip here, seeing it all again for a second time but this time feeling a little bit more familiar with the layout I was much more impressed! I found a few bits which I had missed the first time round most notably the main entrance hall which is beautiful featuring a stone floor and some original rail tracks! We got roof access as you can tell from this first bunch of externals which really demonstrate the scale of this place! Someone had kindly cleared out the room which contained the large apparently fully functional abandoned MRI machine so we managed to get some nice shots of that this time as well!

Amazing pictures! Did you manage to turn the MRI machine on? The lights look like it's switched on.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Wonderful place! Looks like a quick clean and it could accept patients tomorrow. Makes me wonder about how the NHS managers decomission hospitals. MIR scanners cost a small fortune, as do x-ray machines. It seems strange to just abandon them. I wonder what the reasoning behind it is? If anyone knows, please let me know.

I know that my old airline, in common with many others, had some very strange rules about how and when to decomission aircraft, and some were undoubtedly abandoned while still fully operational. There was no logic behind that either - until I asked not the ramp staff, but the accountants. THEN it made sense!
