Severalls Visit

Hi

Done this with a fairly large group last weekend, great stuff.

Apparently its scheduled for demolition next month, there seems to be some confusion about when it is going to go ahead, but thats the latest news, so if intend to visit this, suggest you do so.
There is non assertive security ( level 6 ) [ 1 = kill on sight, 8 = non existent ] on site, so be carefull, stay in the buildings.

Being caught, let alone seen, by security at Severalls is a very rare occurrance. On your scale, I would normally rate them as 7. However, if you have an extremely large group of people, which I understand numbered 29, then you are going to get clocked.

Incidentally, I don't understand why everyone believes Severalls is about to be demolished. I'm still waiting for EP to announce the new owners, who will then have to go through the usual planning permissions before anything happens.

The for sale signs are still very much there. No news in any of the local papers that it has been sold.

Any news if demo has begun at severalls?

Thanks for the kind comments guys, my photos are amateurish at best compared to the veterans.

Done some recearch on Speed's tourch :was a Yuasa Battery 12 volt 7 amp with 100watt Halogen bulb, not sure where he got the tourch body from.

I refrain from building someing so bright though, the lighlyhood is you going to blind someone or yourself accidently they you/they either fall down or have eye damage,or some nutcase will get it in their heads that they point it at security, then who knows.:icon_evil

Recon there must be a trade off with power and usefullness, yet to find that sometime.

No as of saturday it hadnt, Apart from the hall rubble which was carted off ages ago.

I dont think they can do any demolition work untill full planning has been accepted.I saw a plan where they are to retain all of the outer wards, i will see if i can find the link.They will have to demolish the badly damaged(fire damaged) villas.
