Well everyone knows the story of this place so I shall not repeat it. After seeing Stealthstar79's brilliant post earlier I felt that I had to go and see that stained glass window for myself though.
On the whole, the place is pissed wet through now and I found it extremely sad to see such a beautiful building treated so badly. It was previously a treatment clinic so I've tried to add a few of those pictures at the expense of typewriters and shoes! Apparently it's recently been sold so I assume that the new owners are waiting for some scrote to set it alight so that they can put flats on it.
Visited with Mrs Badger on a wet day that wasn't her Birthday.
This is the view from what was probably once a beautiful sunken garden

I've no idea what this is. It's clearly worth less than a left handed wank as it's still there.

Extensive foliage

Inside now and the New Year's Day menu is less than exciting.....

As I've said this place was a functioning clinic and there were reminders scattered around in various rooms......

Sadly there was only an ironing board, had there been a hoover I'd have dressed up as a woman and sung I want to break free whilst tidying up. This is obviously what has happened previously at Red Dress Manor.

I didn't like this atrium much. Not only was it an ugly lump bolted onto a beautiful building, it also reminded me of the languages block at school-this was less of a shite-hole though.

And here it is........ Thanks Stealthstar79.

And some Brothel-Bred Bastard has done this to it.....

Most of the second storey bedrooms looked like this.

I hope this cat keeps an eye on the place.

I'm no architect but the top floor appears to have been added in the 70's or so and looked bloody horrible. The skylight was broken and was letting water in....

Nowhere else have I seen Dormer windows so well placed that the roof requires some kind of buttress to support it behind them.

We spent ages looking for the beautiful fireplace that I'd seen on other people's posts. sadly someone else liked it too!

The best thing about 1930's fireplaces is that they're hard to nick.

There was loads of files and personal data around. I'm surprised no one made them clear this up when the place closed.

Personal stuff too.

Some of the details in this place are stunning. I'm sure that cat appreciates it. The decor isn't though. The cat won't like that.

Parquet Floor!

So there you have it. My take on the much done Ferdowse Clinic. Hopefully the new owners will do away with the nasty modifications like the lift shaft and restore it to it's former splendour........
