Pedalled out to some local spots today, caught at the first, the second spot had ben demolished! so ended up at st leonards hospital again. Went last year and covered one side of the site (its quite large)wich meant much fence hopping! So this time covered the otherside. Easy access although all buildings sealed tight, kept finding more and more buildings further into the woods, great explore (even on my own). The hospital was built for ww2 injured troops ,as you can see from the buildings. The central part of the hospital is new and in use...IMG_2854_zpsk5n3mp7e.png

just doing some internet searches and found some interesting rumours of tunnels and a bunker under the hospital...FOUND THIS 'St Leonards Hospital near Ferndown was set up to treat casualties from France. Radio contact with the French and Dutch resistance was maintained from a bunker under the St Leonards public house' AND THIS
St Leonards Hospital which was originally built as a war time hospital for the American and Canadian military forces. Rumours and stories are again surfacing about underground tunnels under the hospital, truth or myth? Can you help? "Can you solve hospital mystery"

There may well be service tunnels to carry hot water pipes etc. They're generally not very exciting.
