Default Selly Oak Hospital, May 2015

Awesome explore this one was, it was also great to bump into mookster and a few other fellow urbexers as well :D As mookster said on his report, the entrance was somewhat undignified and rather sketchy but it made for one of the best explores I have had for quite some time now.

Again, excuse the point and snap pictures. I really need to start bringing my tripod with me... here's a few of them anyway!

    Access tunnel under morgue

    Secca stepping up their game!

...and to finish the day off, the morgue!

Cheers, as soon as I invest in a wide angle lens I will start taking my tripod in with me haha! Such a limited field of view with my current lens as you can see...

    Cutting edge!

In all seriousness though, security were in their own section of the building but never seamed to have any issues.

The mannequin scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it, swiftly followed by much laughter.

Haha, we spotted it from the outside when we first had a walk about... Didn't take long to realize it wasn't a real person haha, doing a better job than secca themselves!

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
