I have always wanted to visit this asylum.one of the finest in the country.with it's honeycomb ceilings and pastel colours.but I did not think it could be done anymore.well I was wrong.i saw some pics from a friend.a few messages later I had the details.so a plan was hatched.i picked my friend up,then rubex, then the wombat..we found our way in after avoiding the jcb going backwards and forwards.the asylum did not let me down.it was quite beautiful.the ceilings are stunning.but I still wanted to see the arches and main hall.we did eventually find it.the only thing missing was the stairs.but thanks to rubex's nosey ways she found it for us.its covered in scaffold now.but still lovely.she also found a few other bits I would have missed too.so well done rubex.

Thanks for sharing, this is great to see. I wasn't sure if this was still accessible with all the redevelopment. I hope I manage to make a visit before they change it any further!
