Finally lost my Nocton cherry through this visit and, through this report, also losing my Derelict Places cherry.

Visited with MikeyMutt, Rubex and The Wombat. The changing colours of the trees added an extra benefit to an otherwise totally enjoyable explore.

I'm sure the history of this place is well known within the Derelict Place community but if there's anyone reading who doesn't know .....

RAF Hospital Nocton Hall opening in 1947 and closed in 1983. It was a 740 bed hospital built to serve the many RAF bases in the area. In 1984 it was leased to the USAF as a wartime contingency hospital. During the Gulf War, over 1300 staff served the hospital but only 35 casualties were treated there. It was returned to the UK government in 1995 but was never used again.
