I visited this Asylum one afternoon as I had a spare few hours on hand, nothing much left apart from the admin block and that has been pretty much smashed up. But all aside this was an interesting explore. Sadly i never got to climb the Clock Tower as a group of lads were smashing things up and I left for a while and returned when things had quietened down. When I returned I went to check out the Admin Block, whist taking some photos of the Clock Tower from inside I heard voices, looking down i noticed 2 policemen, I stepped back and laid low for a while upstairs, I could hear them talking below, but luckily they never ventured upstairs. After this I gave it a while and left, will have to return as I have unfinished business with the Clock Tower.

St Crispins was a large psychiatric hospital on the outskirts Northampton. It was established in 1876 as the Berrywood Asylum and closed in 1995.

On with the photos

thanks for looking

I was in the second floor of a building when like you I heard voices again as you experienced it was the police, they left after five minutes or so but only as far as their car from where they could see the front of building, being stupid I sneaked out the back, through mud, man eating brambles and nettles across acres of wet fields just to avoid a ballocking from plod, wasn't worth it.
I heard later that H/S had barred them from entering derelict buildings except in emergency?

Nicely Done JSP, great pics, Good Luck with the clock tower, Thanks

Welcome to the forum but asking for this kind of information is against the forum rules. Go have a look and figure it out for yourself.
Will do - cheers

Very nice collection of pictures jsp77, I visited here in the snow; it looks so much more different in your photos!

That's a really nice set of shots from here :)
I think this place is probably well monitored; It's been hit by firebugs a couple of times
