So whilst driving to another location i spotted this out the corner of my eye. Not being from the area i knew nothing about it, so got out the car for a closer look. After finding a sketchy way in with a bit of a climb, sadly found the kids had beaten me to it and was fairly trashed. But was still worth a look as i was now inside.

After doing a bit of research i found out The Meadows opened in 1996 and closed in 2013, this was a 24 bedroom Mental Health unit. It has been up for sale with a Guide Price of £1,250,000 in 2013 and again in 2017 still looks to be unsold and will probably be knocked down for new housing.

On with the photos

Thanks for looking:encouragement:

Nicely done mate! I drive past here once a week in my work van and always wondered what was inside. The pub next door keep an eye on the place and call the police if they see anyone in the grounds. Hope you enjoyed your trip to this neck of the woods!

Cheers Brewtal, i'm surprised you have not had a look yet.

One of a handful of rare reports for this place. Lovely to see it again, last time I visited there were squatters and like Brewtal I drive past regularly. Where did you park may I ask? Like Brewtal said the pub usually keep a watchful eye and snitch on you. Lol. But it's a lovely little explore indeed, I might revisit actually. :D lovely shots, thank you for your report.

I made a few by the way comments to the management last time I stopped off next door (which, admittedly, was ages ago!) and they told me about that. The only reason I haven't bothered was because I knew about that and it was seemed to be the professional equivalent of pissing on my own door step in a way! Don't know how I'd explain that one to my boss...

My folks live about 3 miles down the road and I've never seen this place so nice one jsp lol

I bet you sat on one of them chair hoists and just wound yourself around and around for 5 mins for just something to do didn't you:stupid:

I'm glad you saw this cause I'd have broken me neck tryin to get in!

It's a shame it's likely to be knocked down, but it looks like it'll need a lot of work before it's back to a useable state. Marvellous photos.
