A trip back home is never complete unless Brewtal tried to access Sunnyside's main building with little success! I visited 5 times when I was up. I am a very determined individual! 4 of my visits involved wandering around the site alone at 5am in the morning. Its a bloody creepy place at that time. I loved it.

I got very lucky with Booth House. I spotted the smallest access point when I was wandering around in the dark and decided to have a better look just when it was just starting to get light. Having had no joy at the main building I though sod it, I can squeeze through that. It was pretty horrible, and I could only just fit. I knew it was gonna suck because even my bag was difficult to get through! I have plenty of splinters and small shards of glass still embedded in my hands and neck as a result, but I managed. As I landed shoulders first onto a pile of broken glass I flopped down onto the ground and smiled to myself and wished prettyvacant71 was there because I know damn well fine she would've caught my graceful moment on video! :D

This building was originally built as the Nurses Home 1931-35 to accommodate more staff before the name was changed to Booth House and the use changed to include the Munro Day Unit, pharmacy and nursing administration.

The building was pretty much empty but has some nice original features. I was glad to see inside as I have never seen any pics from this building before.

Thanks for looking!

I'm sure Booth House is one of the buildings holding up the redevelopment. Historic Scotland were at loggerheads with the site owners over the proposed demolition as I don't believe it's part of the 'masterplan'. The central corridor is a nice Art Deco focalpoint.

Mate I have loved all your Sunnyside reports.love the fact you have covered nearly every building what others ain't got in.look forward to the rest
