Some pics from a reccee up at Cherry Knowle, Sunderland with Peacock. The site at present is trashed to say the least, the chavs have really been busy. Estate's dept have also been round and borded up all ground floor door's and windows, quite secure but will be returning. Security is present but also laughable.

Like Lightbuoy, I've always liked seeing pics of Cherry Knowle. Love that shot of the stuff flapping out of the windows. Look forward to seeing more. :mrgreen:

Yeah, please let us know :) I'm hoping to take a first time trip there myself soon, it's about nearly 2 hours drive for me, hopefully I'll be able to get into the place once I get there! So, please keep us posted.
 
Hi I was born in the north east not too far from here a pit village called shotton colliery. This hospital used to frighten the life out of me when we ever went past it. I can remember seeing patients walking around the grounds.
i don't know what made me so scared looking at it empty i guess it doesn't frighten me as much.
Do you know if they are knocking it down and building something else.
