St. Annes Hospital

St Anne's Hospital in Bowdon, which closed in January 2005, was once the world's leading centre for TB research. It dates back to the 1800s and over the years changed from caring for people with TB to later becoming an ear nose and throat hospital and finaly caring for patients who where senile.

Visited with Jaff Fox and Romanian1, nice one for the tour R1 not a huge place but filled with character and some impressive exteriors and a rather funky green tiled operating theatre.

Now this place i like. That operating theatre with the green tiles looks so old, they've not used those tiles for years, lovely. and love the fireplace, and those floor tiles are awesome.

Nice one HHH, I thoroughly enjoyed the R1 tour round here last year. There's loads of little bits and pieces and details to mooch around. Cool stuff.

Bloody great shots as always! This place looks lie a time warp. The "deceased" written across the personal details is pretty grim. Not really thought about howthrow away that bit of death is before!!

Amazing place, only ever seen mosaic like in picture 3 in roman floors, i'm guessing that its a replica!
