2 Mental asylums in one day! This was the second of our Asylums, but thirds abandoned place. This place was really amazing! So much to see! Bit bummed that the Hydrotherapy pool and Main Hall was not accessible, but the rest of the place was great, it has beautiful grounds, even tho it is situated in the middle of a housing estate.

hmmm springy roof on top of the kitchens if i remember right!
did you get to see the RR genny?
what up with the pool?

The buildings have been given the chipboard treatment since I last went, but the kids had got in to one of the old blocks and the secure patient unit. We had to climb using an old pallet and there was a huge gaping hole in the roof where you climb up so required some shuffling to get around it. I hadn't got into the Kitchen area until yesterday - glad I did.

We bumped into two scrap collectors when we were inside, almost crapped myself when I looked in a room and there was a fella stuffed in a cupboard! Apparently its due to be demolished in the next month for that Old Folks home.

We noticed two possible ways in, though patience is a virtue and I bet this time next week it'll have half its windows open!

bathroom......

now if it was the pool i would of been properly jelous.......tell me you didnt see the pool lol

I've been in the pool, well not literally. Unfortunately the open windows were sealed again. To be honest the pool didn't really excite me as much as the adjacent hall.

Has anyone noticed the large underground space underneath the Hall? I thought it only ran underneath the stage but it actually goes underneath most of the building!
