Here's photos from my second visit to everyone favourite mental asylum in Colchester.

This was my first time in the central part of the hospital, as always my buddy SavageHenry was there to guide me in. Fun!

Must I admit I absolutely loved going around all the corridors and checking out all the old rooms, superb day out. Very wet though, damn weather. I don't know if there were any changes from previous visits, SH didn't seem too noticed too much any way.

Here's some of the day:

Is it just me or can any one else see the skull like image in the bottom right pain of glass in the door?

#3 Cliche shot maybe - but I love them. The shot of the 3 windows and the reflection is great :)

Lovely shots mate, really sharp and captures the place well. :mrgreen:Love the horn sounder thing, that's near the lift isn't it?

Thanks Revolution! I liked that one too, I only realized towards the end of the day that the majority of severalls is drenched in water and I wish i could of done more shots the same!

Thanks UrbanX! It is taken near one of the lifts, the one with the elevator doors open. I've read there's a few of these horns through Severalls, any idea what they were used for?

I only saw the horns by the left but I'm sure someone told me there were more around the hospital. I only saw two on that occasion, is there more?

Thanks sqwasher! :) I've only read that it used to be a dance hall too, like mattdonut said. I got a few shots of the fallen part of the building nothing too exciting, literally rubble every where.

Like your set of snaps AR :)

Sevs can be very photogenic in the rain or in the sunshine
Like the water reflection shot. Cheers for sharing.

Nice pictures, very nice report, im new to this just my first trip uploaded, pictures not quite as good, gonna invest in a better camera.

Thanks for posting.

My secondary school had a horn like that on an outer wall under a walkway.

I assumed it was part of the fire alarm system, there wern't any lifts there.

In the Electrical Trade they are called CLAXONs (AKA Hooter, or Horn).and make a very loud buzzing sound. This make was primarily used in Boiler Houses where high ambint noise was present. Not seen one used on a lift alarm before.
