Whittingham is schedueled for demolition in 2010, most likely for more useless flats so security has been beefed up, most of the windows are borded and new fences all over so took us a bit to evade the security on the way in. Knowing the site won't be in a visitable condition for long made this trip all the more worthwhile. All in all time well spent and meeting up with the two other explorers was quite a laugh.

There has been talk of the knocking down of Whittingham this year, 2008, with Cameron House, all other disuesd buildings and all the buildings of ST Lukes being pulled down except the front ones, from the left Ward 4, Ward 3 Admin, ward 11 and ward 12.

The use of the urinal is interesting, not in that sense, as the Commissioners of Lunacy many rules was to remove the urinal s espically the slate backed type.

The plans of this new estate are always being reviewed almost every week and with the collaspe of the Flats market and no doubt new builds the hospital could be around a bit longer
