I know that there are loads of postings with pictures of the main building, but the nurses' block doesn't seem to attract all that much attention. Probably because it's nowhere near as interesting. Nevertheless, I thought it couldn't hurt to write a report on it. It was quite a fun day really, although there was a rather iffy moment. While sitting in one of the rooms we heard a noise coming from down the corridor. My immediate thought was that there was someone else in the building with us, and to prepare from imminent death from a gang of junkies (I'm a bit of a pessimist). However, I realised that the noise was not getting closer - I then peeked out of the window only to see two chavs and a chavette, one of whom was firing rocks through the windows with a slingshot. He spent about fifteen minutes doing so - his girlfriend seemed to be really enjoying it. I mean, what kind of cretins walk all the way up the hill from town to fire rocks at windows?! It's bloody stupid.

Enough ranting - sorry. On with the pictures.

The burnt out room. The damage was mainly superficial, and contained only to this room and the scorched ceiling in the corridor.

Nice to see what its like in there, everytime we go to cane hill we always say we are going in there, but always get carried away in the main buildings and never make it.

We took ours home. Have you been inside recently? I haven't been there for months, and although I can see that there has been some activity (blue tarpaulin has been placed over some of the windows and the tiles are gone) I don't know if the insides have changed. Do you know anything?

We took ours home.
Only jokin.....and yes....the insides have been stripped back to brickwork and the plastic covers EVERYWHERE due to the aspestos work.
The ground floor is being used for the demolition equipment and the workers stores.
It looks as though one large building per week is disappearing.
The chapel has been sealed up too.

Ah, I see. I might take a peek before it goes completely. I went today and I didn't really notice very much gone since last week. About two rooms are gone and a twenty-foot stretch of corridor. The chapel isn't sealed, actually. It seems to be, but there is a way in. I probably shouldn't disclose it on here, although anyone who wishes to know may email me.

Really? Do you have any pictures? I wanted to go back there. I was at Cane Hill today, but I was so busy with the rest of the place I didn't have time to have a look at this.
