West Park Hospital, Epsom. End of Oct 08

So we visited West Park Asylum a week or so ago. Was certainly an experience. After half hour of wandering around we thought we would never get in. They certainly dont want you to get into this place!.

Finaly we found a way in and wow! This place is massive. We started in one of the wings and spent a good 4/5 hours wandering around, only seeing half of the complex. With no sign of security or “laser fences” we had a fairly easy trip. The only difficulty (apart from putting my foot through a floor) was how difficult it is to get to certain areas once inside. Most of the joining corridors have been bricked/ boarded up, meaning you have to find alternate routes constantly to get where you want to go. Seeing other peoples photos we missed some really good bits (like the dentist and padded room) but was still a lot more interesting than Hellingly.

to much HDR!! like the shot of the bath though....but i really do think the hdr is over done....made west park look a bit crap
