Hollywood Lodge (westpark)

I was passing Hollywood lodge today. it's a building slightly apart from the rest of the west park collony. was last used as an old people's home. at some point its had severe fire damage and due to totla lack of care or security is covered in graffiti and generally attacked from all sides.

the land around it is now used to keep horses and the gentleman caring for them said i was" welcome to take photos or what ever"as long as his horses weren't let out or bothered.










The owners are apparently hoping to either knock it down and build over it or totally renovate it. sounds like no one really knows yet.

it was a very nice 3 days in row trip when WP was more likely fully accessable D

I also went past there the other day when I got escorted from West Park.

As long you dont bother the horses the guys that manage the grounds don't mind at all. but it looks like it gets vandalised a lot and has some unsavory types (that makes me sound like the daily mail) hanging around alot of the time.

Sometimes it works out better if locals DON'T care ... but in the longer term, I wish some would

Is that the place just off the roundabout as you approach West Park? Seen that place a few times when visiting the main site & always wanted to check it out.

sorry to resurrect, where the hell is it? i walked down the footpath that runs down the side of WP that takes you to chessington but turned back after almost losing my shoe in a boggy bit of mud and had enough of them catapillar things dangling from the trees.

i also walked the bridal path down to the next main road at the back of WP but nowt. i did see some horses in a field though so i assume hollywood lodge is somewhere there. on foot how do you get there from WP? pm will do.

Hollywood lodge is on the approach road to West Park from Epsom, can be seen from the road.

think ive finally spotted it on google maps. think i was thinking of the wrong roundabout.
