Severalls Hospital, 2009 -my "final -yes it really is my final" visit!

Severalls Hospital (Second Essex County Asylum) -2009 -part 1

Those of you who are familiar with my previous trips to Sevs, are probably reading this with some well-founded scepticism -"yeah right, it's another final visit -AGAIN!!"
Well, having now reached the stage of being satisfied with what I've seen & recorded, this last visit really is my last. After a good ol' explore the previous day with Immortal Owl, he kindly drove back to Lightbuoy's HQ, and after a good night's kip, we both were ready for another day's exploring. We met up with Urbtography (was good to finally meet ya) Urbs kindly showed us a way in -a BIG THANKS for this!
There were two main nagging reasons for my return visit -the first being to check-out more thoroughly the old Laundry (which had been converted into the Cold / Freezer Stores for the Main Kitchens adjacent. The second reason was to attempt to get some additional film footage (this was going fine until I ran out of memory space!) Anyhoooo, another excellent day's exploring ensued. One of the highlights was when Immortal Owl was attacked by the "killer" Fox!!!, with Urbtography being attacked by a gas cylinder coming a close second!!!

Going to miss the grand old Lady, and may be back with up-dates as and when the re-development commences, but until then, for me, it's a fond farewell to Severalls Hospital.

Well, I have already "reserved" a room, in advance of the re-development!

Will keep you informed about the website. Seriously though, this is my last visit (at least until re-development begins anyway)

The cogs and clock are gorgeous! Your last ever trip to Severalls...I bet you'll miss the place given how often you were there.
