"The Triangle" railway yard, Gloucester

This yard is easy to see on Google Earth,stands out like a sore thumb,the buildings appear to have something to do with the permanent way yard

Yeah, I got a card reader in the end,that bypassed the dodgy Fuji software so Im back in business,point of interest, if you maximise that photo of the timesheet, on the bottom right corner the date says 1960!
I didnt see that until I uploaded the pics, and check out the daily rate of pay!

Dont seem a lot do it,but think what you could buy with it,petrol,4 gallons for a pound,loaf of bread 1 shilling,I bet the young un's are thinking "what the f@@@ is a shilling,and still have enough left over for a fish supper,good old days?nah,dont think so.

Thanks DB, Im not really sure how to do GE links but what I would say is find Gloucester on GE,look at the centre of the town and you will see three railway lines converging to create the triangle you can see the buildings 'above' the flyover that bisects the site.(bisects,is that a word?you know what I mean

)
