Clipstone colliery Apr 2009

Due to there being recent reports on this place I won't talk about the history. I visited with ashless and the pirate.
This first set are taken in the 1st tower which is where the personell lift was.

Then we move onto the winch house which was awesome.














So you get an idea of the size of the wheels










And when I got home I made myself a well deserved dinner

Had it a while mate using an olympus E500. Although still getting used to it.

On hold for the moment, The remaining buildings can't be touched until they are delisted fortunately.

Good to see that there is some effort going towards protecting the buildings going up now.

Ashless climbed up aswell...but he was too busy dodging my tripod and trying to take a bite out of a pigeon to take photo`s

Thats one mighty looking place,gadgets,switches,motors,bells,buzzers etc,etc,my kinda playground
