some pics of 2 old air shafts i went to see,i think they are from 1908 Tonhir Colliery Co., Bryn, Port Talbot I have the Tonhir Slants but they look older to me

Very nice find. I agree they do look a lot older but acording to my book, Tonhir was only started in 1902. Lovely stonework though :)

Interesting pics, I notice that there appears to be a longish building on the map but it does not show up on FlashEarth. Any ideas?

Thanks, I was looking at the wrong shaft.
The larger map image shows the Google pic shaft on the left and an unnamed building on the bottom right. I'll have to have a walk around there.
