Viisited the old quarry and cement works earlier this week, it is still live in some parts and there is quite a lot of activity during the week.

I only ventured into the large buliding at the back of the site, due to a lot of workers milling about in front of it, I thought it best not to push my luck. A re visit during a weekend is on the cards I think.

I'm a regular visitor sj. Guessing you must have been there midweek as the gate was open. Lots of Cemex activity on the site now. They had left it alone for years. Shame.

Yes it was a weekday afternoon, I will return on a Sunday soon as I dont live too far away.

Do you know if there is much activity on site during weekends?

They've knocked down the two big settlement tanks. Some other bits of the plant demolished as well. Most of the big buildings are still in tact though.
