St Georges Works, Brimingham - May 2009

St Georges Works, I've struggled to find much history for this place online, The site is set to become a really shit redevelopment into office space.

I was traveling light here, I left the Tripod and 5D in the car and took only the new compact camera which I've got with locations like this in mind, a camera for the times when I normally wouldn't take one.

You utter utter git!!! I've been trying this place for months, even tried going with the official route. My old man worked here for years when it was the old Swan kettle works. I'm SO jealous right now!!!

The original site over the road, now owned by the NHS, was also connectoed to the St. George works. My dad did all the photography for the advertising.........











Hope that helps a little. I've been trying to get Chord Deeley to let me have a look. They even OK'd it at one point last year, to document it before the stupid development happens, but one thing after another, one twat after another they lost all the replies they'd sent me and finally stopped talking to me. Tossers.
