I spotted this building on my Duke of Edinburgh Hike, but my group would not stop to look
So I went back today to have a look around, from the outside it looks pretty unispiring, but on the inside, there are a lot of water tanks, with heating elements, so I assume that it was used to treat limestone from the former limestone quarry (now sainsburys)
Unfortunatley, access to the lower levels IS possible, but exiting it isn't So I decided to not risk it. Here are the photos from the upper level (still dodgy access )
Exterior Shot
Exterior shot two, looks like something from an american gold mining town
Inside among the tanks and asbestos (with lens flare)
Window
Heating Elements
Detail of Tank
Taken from the top of the boiler
General Internal Shot
Any better suggestions as to it's use?
Thanks For Looking,
James
