I've been wanting to do this place for a while, mainly for the acoustic properties within the towers & i'm pleased to say i wasn't disappointed. Along with theterrorwheel, a good 3 hours was spent exploring the whole site, but it certainly warrants another visit sometime this summer.

A few on here have already documented it's history so i'll post a link to their posts for anyone who hasn't seen them;

Personally i'd have to rank it as one of my favourite visits, a sound & visual experience that is quite simply mind blowing. The sheer size of the towers are awesome, & i'm sure those who visited any like these would agree that you don't really appreciate that until you're stood inside one. A stunning feat of engineering & construction. We missed a perfect photo opportunity the night before as were driving along the M18 with the most glorious red sunset offering a stunning backdrop, maybe next time!

Can't wait see TTW's pics from a different level ;)

i must apoligise right away for the photo heavy post, and this was the cut down list! the sounds inside these were amazing, stamping your feet resulted it in echoes that went on for ages, you could even get a few stampings on the go at once! was an awesome place but trying to get pics that showed the actual size of the towers wasnt as simple as first thought.
missed sunset

Those cooling towers are awesome. There is something mysterious about them. Great pictures Badoosh. Thanks.
