Hi all,
Me, Peter and LIO112 went to have a look at Annesley today after failing at Clipstone
For a brief insight into the pit's history, see here
The pit isn't in too bad a condition for the bits remaining, but there are builders on site laying foundation piles for something, and words are being thrown around about demolishing it and building a replica

Here are the pictures:

Hehe! Don't worry Blaster, we got up the headstock while the men were still there, when they left we could wander round at ease, it's just about timing... you will crack it in the end :)

Good pics mate,it's not a bad explore the shower rooms in the bath house are wicked.

Why the fail at clipstone ? A few people shouted at us why we were there last time but still cracked the headstock, wicked views.Good luck for next time.

Excellent pics James. Glad you got to see Annesley. The headstocks are great aren't they? Wish I'd managed to get there before the other buildings were demo'ed. Oh well, we live and learn. :)

Good work mate, we'll have to get together at some point, when my car is back on the road. Shouldn't be too long though. :)

:) Sal

Thanks folks, as Thompski said, there are too many workers at Clipstone at the moment. I'm revisiting Annesley very, very soon though ;)
A meetup sounds good Sal, is you car still off the road

Lol, I think at the moment, it spends more of it's time off the road than on it.

Sal, I honestly mean no harm when i say this - but scrap it!!

There are so many good cars out there for sale at the moment, i just regret not being able to flog you my Nissan.
