This one may have been done before, if so, apologies if I'm treading on anyone's toes.

I spotted this place whilst driving back up the A500, after a rather disappointing visit to Beech Caves on a damp March 2009 morning.
Not wanting to completely waste my morning I thought a few "heritage" shots for the portfolio were in order.
After parking near to a locally well known scrapyard, I wandered up to the towpath alongside the Trent and Mersey canal. Upon spooting this site I spent about 5 minutes looking for access.
Upon entry I was dissappointed by the amount of crap that had been thrown over the fence, though some of it very photogenic, the remainder being black bin bags of god knows what.
Further exploration bore the remains of the old conveyor that carried (I'm guessing) the wheat to the top of the milling tower, complete with it's original buckets.
There were other small hidden gems, and on the whole the site was reasonably graffitti free.
Hope the pics are ok, they are Pre-DSLR lol
