Quite a dissapointing explore to be honest, spent a good half hour trecking along farm roads only to find a few small empty buildings :(

Barhaugh Colliery is situated on the Barhaugh Common; utilising a 1ft 9in gauge railway with 24 steel bodied tubs marshalled in two rakes on twelve. Working the Little Limestone seam of (on average) 17in of semi-Anthracite, the mine was owned by F.Shepherd until closing and the site cleared and drift covered over in 2004.

I don't know, I thought it was quite interesting. It's not that far away from me, I might check it out.

I say dissapointing because I'd spend so long looking for it and after seeing Clarghyll and Ayle I was expecting alot more.
