Hi everyone.
This mill is right on my doorstep and the first time i have visited the site for photographic purposes. I did however make the fundamental mistake of going it alone! Not recommended at all.
I would like a few tips from more accomplished photographers regarding camera settings etc, as i seem to have lost some quality in processing the shots.
I don't have access to quality photoshop software im afraid, so have to make do with the free download stuff which is very basic indeed, as im sure you are all aware of.
Anyway, here are a few attempts from the shoot.
I'm planning another trip here, but with a companion next time.

The shots look mighty fine to me!
I.M.O too much HDR, processing, editing kills UE photos, They look great as they are.
Stick to the free edition software lol

hey digi...nice shots bro, looks like a missive, fun place to have a noise round...
may have to pop up an have a look myself...u say its no for solo trips???

I cant see anything wrong with your pics look great to me i'm no expert mind still if it looks good it must be good if you see what i mean.

Nice one mate, this is a lovely place, and you have captured it well. Don't worry about rules on photo processing. These are your pictures, your record of a site. It would be so boring if everyone did it the same. As long as you like them, that is the most important. Stuff on a mobile can look better than a £2,000 DSLR. Going with a mate is good though, as you can relax more, and, often as a result, take more time with the most important composition stuff.

Many thanks to everyone for all your positive comments. Much appreciated.
I have been in talks with the owners of this site regarding restoration, and this has been put on hold due to the current climate. So it looks as though it's going to remain as is for the long term.
I did however ask for permission to return, but this was denied. Normal practise for most places now.

The reason i would'nt recommend a solo trip Swedish! Is that certain parts of the site now seem to be rather unstable. Especially on the upper floors. Hardly surprising really as she dates back to the late 18th century.

Gaz.
