Sleaford Maltings was built in 1901 for the Bass company, it was later used as a Chicken farm before it's abandonment, for a full history of the site, see here.

I hate you! There's so much good stuff to explore within easy access of derby, but I have to catch 3 trains to get anywhere half decent! :mad: :cry:

Top report, my favourite photo has to be the first one and the water tower looks impressive. Well done for climbing it, I haven't seen that much before.

Btw have you checked out the general hospital in Mansfield?
 
Haha, this was a fair treck from Derby, it helps to have a friend with a car who like exploring :)
