What a weird Sunday! I set off and parked up, behind me was a girl who seemed to be keeping a low profile to the extent that she actually did a circuit around a skip to avoid me seeing her! Tempting as it was to run up and go Boo – I declined, as this was crack whore alley and didn’t want any hassle.
I had initially visited the area to try another building but found this one had been opened since the previous visit so how could I resist?
Mossley rubber works was the name of the place, because it was old with no signs – I had to find something on the wall to identify it! All I have found online is that it had an explosion in 2008.
this might explain the boarded up gaping hole at one end!
There isn’t a lot left but such a photogenic place! A great find purely by chance!
I was just reaching out for a door to see if it was unlocked when it suddenly opened before me and a man was stood there. He seemed unperturbed, I explained that I was just taking pics and he walked off to look for more copper I think! I stayed a little longer to show I wasn’t scared by him and then set off home.

Tracks for heavy plant.

I remember these from the early eighties as a prepubescent teenager. It was in good nick but Urbex has rules so I complied and left it where it was. I had to censor it too.
