Please excuse the lack of history there is not alot out there... here's a little of what I could find..

Dairy Farmers of Britain (DFOB) employed around 2,200 people nationwide with around 200 at the Cardiff site, and was responsible for 10% of the UK's milk production.

One of their most famous brands of milk was the Cadog brand - named after the saint that gave his name to Llangadog.

The Cardiff site was used to bottle and distribute milk from local dairy farms all accross the south east wales region and took regular milk deliveries from the DOFB processing plant in Southampton.. on 25th July 2009 the company called in the recievers and the site subsequently closed.

Here's my photo's with larger sizes and the full set on my flickr here

Thanks for looking ;)

You'll only find limited history as they were known as Associated Co-operative Creameries up until they were sold.

Most of the Dairy Farmer's of Britian site's are now like this since they when into administration, but all the other information is spot on except it was Portsmouth (no closed too) not Southampton

The second picture shows 2 milk storage tanks, the "Tank 4" was manufactured by APV (Aluminium Plant & Vessel company) of Crawley, West Sussex, And was quite probably delivered by my Father Who worked for APV as A lorry Driver.
The tank is Stainless Steel with cork Insulation and a mild steel outer jacket, and is probably a 4000 gallon capacity tank.
Sorry to Bore you with Trivia, but seeing the tank reminded me of Dad delivering such thinks nation wide.
