History been done many times so I wont go on. An epic explore, second visit but first inside (photos 1 & 2 from September). The place was a lot more trashed than I thought it would be. Previous posts from a year ago also show it in much better condition. Will it be saved, or go the same way as Annesley, I think we all know in our hearts what the answer is (sadly)...

Nice work, you've captured it well in your photographs.

For those that are interested I believe there will be a meeting on Friday, 29 January 2010 (19:00 - 21:00) at Clipstone village hall (Church Road, Clipstone NG21 9DF) where a local action group will discuss saving the headstocks.

Well done Cgull

Thanks for the headsup Revo.

Tegan, the group founder is meeting the Coal Authority today, and Nottinghamshire County Council have been very supportive of the campaign too. Until a website has been sorted out, the facebook group is perhaps the best means of keeping up to date with current going's on.

Supposedly the consultation period ended recently, however the local authority will take into account written objections to the demolition as long as they're recieved as soon as possible.
