Dunlop Company (Macintosh Mill) - Manchester - May '10

The History (Summarised)


Early 1800's - Charles Macintosh Set's up shop producing waterproof garments, primarily geared towards workwear / military.

1843 - Macintosh Dies

1923 - Dunlop company take over producing rubber components, original mill destroyed in WW2 bombing.

2000 - Production ceases, main mill converted into prison cells / apartments.
