Ainscough Flour Mill,Burscough,June 2010.

This is Ainscough Flour Mill in Burscough,owned by H & R Ainscough who also owned a mill in Parbold & a hotel in Southport,later it was owned by Allied Mills utill its closure in 1998.
The site has been bought by Persimmon homes who will be converting the site into apartments eventually. After over 10 yrs of disuse the site is rapidly starting to decay,but is still largely intact,some plant has been removed leaving large gaps in floors,please be careful if you go to explore this place,extreme caution needed...

Some fabulous stuff left in there. I love the external pic. I'd probably spend an hour or two on the outside...it looks really quirky and interesting. Love those funky outlet pipes/chimneys.
