Elster Jeavons manufacture gas govenors and gas regulators, safety shut off and slam shut valves. They also distribute diaphragm gas meters, turbine meters and rotary meters. Their origins trace back to the 1920s.

The Tipton factory closed in June 2006 because of stiff competition in the far east and transfered the production to Slovakia with the loss of 150 jobs.
