Visited on two occasions within a week, first time with jST then with nij.

Everyone is probably familiar with the company's history now, if not look here and here.

From Wikipedia:

Pauls Agriculture was founded in Ipswich in the early 19th century, initially to trade in malt and barley for the brewing industry. This expanded into trading of maize and other foods for horses. From the early 1900s, they started to produce food other animals too.

BOCM Silcock also started in the 19th century and was one of the earliest crushers of oilseeds to produce vegetable oils for human consumption and the manufacturing of soap. The by-product of this process, the oilseed cake, was a good source of protein for animal feed.

Pauls Agriculture and BOCM Silcock merged in 1992 to form BOCM Pauls.

Thanks for looking

Yeah that would have been great. I'll prob head back here at some point to look at other parts of the site I didn't get chance to look in before. Quite hard though with the parts that are still active, the main road and the trains!

Thanks KooK, being a former Selby resident it's nice to see somewhere I'm familiar with. It looks very grim inside, which surprises me considering the relatively short time it has been closed.

I guess with the copious amount of smelly stuff around it didn't take long for nature to reclaim it!

Great stuff Kook, I have visited this place twice, its chocked full of dereliction goodness, and also has an awful smell of death:( Your photos of the site are simply stunning mate!

nice one nij, some great photos. I'd still go back to try and in the other bits closer to the live parts I reckon.
