There is another thread on here which shows all the external views & has all the history of the site , but i can't work out how to link it here.

I have friends who run a workshop in the base of this building so access was not too difficult , but i only had about 1/2 hour to do my first explore.

i had been warned about the state of the place , so i took the precaution of gloves , face mask , etc. I 'm really glad i did as this has to be the most unpleasent place i've ever been in (i'm new to this remember). The only residents in the place for the last few years have been pigeons and lots of them !.This means that everything has approx 50-75mm of pigeon poo all over it & i mean EVERTTHING ! . Obviuosly this means that you can't tell what you're walking on , so it's a little unerveing.I ventured up as far as i could using the stairs , but access further up is by vertiacl ladders , covered in poo & boxed in by what looks like asbestos sheeting , so i decided to give that a miss & concentrate on photos from where i had easy acces to.

(This is my first attempt at a post so please forgive any mistakes !)

Nice one LostBoy !! I have often passed this on the train and have wondered what it was like inside.Thanx for the piccies. Now just to add an extra bit of interest i noticed on those lift buttons that the bottom one is marked C !! Could that be for Cellar !!! If it is then that means there's UNDERGROUND GOODLINESS !!! Start the detective work and report back !!!

Good stuff, looks pretty huge and a bit pigeony!

Brilliant, you know the owners of valley gas? (I think its them that own the building).

Where are you based?

Wow, lucky you.

It's me that's posted a recent report of externals of the site, and how I would love to get inside! I live literally 2 mins from the place!

Well done LB - I have wanted to see inside this place for a while now.

Zotez .. yep i'm good mates with the owners of Valley Gas , so it was easy to get in ! , but they don't own the building , only rent it.Oh & I'm from Andover.

Fluffy .. well spotted i hadn't noticed that on the lift buttons , i will ask if there is a cellar.

As for those of you who would like to see inside , that may be possible in the not too distant future..... PMs will be sent with more info when the time is right:)

Wow.... I have thought about doing this building for agess.. but since i hear dthat the ground floor was occupied i thought it was impossible.. i never thought about getting owners permission... you could always drop in a good word for me and Zotez ;). Did you get onto the roof i bet the views would be epic at night!

Anyway, awsome shots mate and well done for getting there :)

Nope didn't get to the roof , that was my original plan , but after seeing to state of the place i wasn't so keen ! , as basically it meant climbing up 100s of feet of poo covered vertical ladders surrounded by asbestos with a tripod & camera. Also only having 1/2 hour for this explore meant it was not viable really. And to be honest after spending that much time wading through pigeon poo i was quite happy to retire to the pub !

I've done the top of this with The Winchester and a mutual friend. We didn't have permission though. We topped out the ladders, which only get more and more wobbley and rickerty as they go up...

Nice views though :)
