I stumbled across this place totally by accident several months ago. A quite interesting and varied site, looks like it has gone through several stages of use with new buildings and extensions being added. A bit spoiled by fire damage but the structure, cranes and machinery is all pretty much intact.

Access is easy but very occaisionally I have seen pest control guys with air rifles or gangs of kids around the site.

There a few quite dangerous pits around the site so daytime visits and watching where you are walking is recommended.

The main warehouse area is huge, and there are about four or five other large warehouse areas as well with some nice steel framework and glass roofing, also lots of nice ducts and electrical control boxes.

One of the smaller warehouses, still large though!

That place is huge, I like the big machinery and structural steel, looks like it has an interesting atmosphere too.

I've got to get me up to manchester sometime soon, then up to scotland!

I love industrial decay, there's something about the harsh lines and light that float my boat ;)

Nice site indeed.

We made a short visit here yesterday on the way back from Whittingham(will put photos up shortly). The place has suffered more since my first visit about 6 months ago with more fire damage and vandalism.

William Hare is still going strong. This complex is well out of date, its a mish mash of loads of smaller warehouses adapted or stuck together, so wouldn't have been the most ergonomical for producing huge steel section and girders etc.

I don't know how long its been derelict for, maybe 3-4 years. I don't know.
