The huge Parcel Force sorting office closed in 2002 and was a chosen site for a new ground for West Ham Utd until their bid to move into the Olympic Stadium was accepted. But many people in the area already believe that the Hammers could move in to this building tomorrow and nobody would notice any different!!!

Part of the site was purchased to provide 8,462 sq.m of bus depot and associated bus operations space, with 3,533 sq.m of office space and the installation of a stand alone wind turbine.

Explored with Skeleton Key, Wevsky, Space Invader, Obscurity and Silver Rainbow

On the way out we met a right bunch, first there was a couple of metal theiving eastern Europeans who threw their giant scissors away as soon as we walked around the corner and then there was sec, who was opening the gate as we were about to leave, he was a bit confused as to why anybody wanted to take photos of the place and Space Invader didn't help by telling him that he was looking for his dog and that his ball came over the fence etc... We made our retreat and left SK boring the pants off him
In the end, sec needed rescuing from SK!!!

Thanks for looking

the dogs balls lol

that is so funny, we allways say that if we get found anywere we are looking for the dog ... in a pikey acsent. and thanks for that cos i can see were ill be driving to next bank holl, taking alex westham f and company. thanks again nelly brill and thanks for the laugh.

Nice find! I remember those postcode things from working at Royal Mail over Christmas two years ago. We didn't have any signs though, we were given bits of paper with the postcodes on

Nelly what can i say, wasnt my fault poor old secca couldnt take it all in lol
Did my damdest to ensure i covered all the pro's and con's to such an extent that as soon as i saw his eyes roll to the heavens i knew it was time to jump ship ! sorry ment in the car and depart whilst he came to terms with the fact he'd been had ;)

The initial appearence of this place i thought was a bit odd as you come around the corner is like run aground a frieght ship to the deckline sitting on hard standing

Have to say this place is vast ,but lower floors flooded via a burst water pipe thats appears to have been on the go for some time and that made it seam more nautical
Well maybe the Poseidon Adventure anyways.

Maybe I should explain. I hadn't had anything to eat all day and this being our 3rd location then my belly was growling. So SK found a plate in the canteen and served me up one of the many dead pigeons on it. Obscurity sprinkled some kind of seasoning over it and then SK found a jar of mustard. Well it must have been a few years out of date cos it cleared the room in seconds and had me gagging all the way down the stairs, much to the amusement of my splore buddies ;)

Nice job lads...still P***** I missed out on the Mills and a laugh with the lads, but you win some you lose some. nice shots both of you love the externals SK and the ever rotating fan shot is spot on Nelly....you must have been the only one that felt safe in the cheese room as you and I know neither of us would fall through those holes we would get stuck :)
