Paid a visit to Braeval today, it seems something's a-brewin' - there are plans on the walls that weren't there before and there were fresh-ish tyre tracks and footprints around the buildings.

This place, for the area, is amazing - everything is in its place, just as it was in 2002. There's a computer in the Customs Office still on standby, seemingly nothing has been removed, except for the whisky samples.:( The condition inside is deteriorating quickly with lack of maintenance, water is leaking through dozens of areas in the roof and the roof itself is very spongy (not recommended for walking on  )

It's unlikely Braeval will ever operate again unless there's a large upturn in the Scottish whisky industry or it's sold - the owner of Braeval operates another, larger distillery nearby which is why this one and others were closed and it's doubtful they'd sell to a rival.
