Facit Mill Whitworth:Facit Mill is built of Accrington brick which was built to replace a mill on this site which was demolished in 1904. The mill was a former cotton mill employing 700 people in its heyday until its closure in the mid 1960s.

this place is a really good mooch, basement floor is stunning stonework. 2 weighing machines are in working condition and access to the roof make this one of the better mills.

Yeah the entire mill history from whitworth to bacup is fascinating, also seems not as explored as it should have been.
