Hello peeps and welcome to part one of the Noodles, Ceejam and Judderblokey tour of
disused factories/mills in Derbyshire.
There is some good info on this place from an ex employee of almost 30 years standing
on another UE site which shall remain nameless .. but 28, later and days are in the
name of the site concerned - it makes for quite scary reading re the amount of iffy
chemicals buried on the site.
The company produced dyes and pigments and some of the lovely ingredients included
lead and nitric acid.
It was a lovely sunny, warm day when we visited and it was a jolly nice and
relaxed mooch ... I really like this place ... A lot.
This was my 3rd visit as I had already done 2 solo visits prior.
Again the vast majority of the images from this visit were shot on my
Canon 50mm Prime lens.
For those who haven't been the complex includes a row of cottages
where the workers lived and one functioned as the company's reception,
we'll start there.

Photographic/compositional rules would probably say I shouldn't have shot
the below one as the post makes it look like two separate images ... me ?
.... hmmm I kinda like it and somehow for this scene it works - what do
you think ?
I've always thought good to know the rules of composition ... sometimes
good to ignore them, develop your own way.
