Arrow E.P.Bray's. Glossop. Derbyshire. Pic Heavy.

Sunglasses may be the order of the day.... I give you E.P.Bray.

If yellow, red and green are favourable to you! Then give yourself a pat on the back and prepare for color overload.

Chisworth Works was built at the end of the 18th or in the early 19th centuries as a cotton band manufactory and initially called Higher Mill. There has however been several alterations and extensions since then.By 1973, the site was used as a dyeing and pigment works. Apparently the company started "winding-up" in 2006 and was dissolved/liquidised and closed in September that year.

Today there was nobody here to greet me.

The reception was housed quite literally in one of the houses adjacent to the site. Workers cottages. Handy in a morning, but not so good if you want to throw a sicky for the day.

Inside is just madness. Looked just like a scene from a horror film. Bring your daughter to the slaughter.

Lets go somewhere a little more serene.

    Or maybe not!

Comes complete with drainage channels too.

I told you it was madness in here.

    Drum roll please.

Opportunity knocks for a couple of artful shots.

A necessity as I see it...... The shower areas.

    The mad scientists lab.

The tea room, seating for one ;)

    The inevitable lonesome urbex chair.

I just adore door shots. It's a fatal attraction for me I'm afraid.

Quite partial to a window too.

I'm in a Rush...... So exit stage left.

This is a fine explore! Although just a little surreal in places. Go fill yer boots.

    Love the colours!
    Great pics and write-up. Well chuckle-worthy. :)

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
