Hi, I'm not really an urban explorer as yet, its something I find interesting and intend to work on over the summer if possible. I thought I'd share a location I've been sniffing around. There is a derelict maltings/brewery in Essex, not far from Clacton-on-Sea which is very easy to find, although during my sniffing of the site I found it secure and with high fence. It backs onto scrap car stock pile and waste ground. There was some pictures but alas my memory card through a hissy fit, out of all taken only two survived. As far as I think its a former Green King Brewery or part of and is known locally as The Maltings.

Not much to see there I know, but a teaser all the same. Not a huge building, but big enough and probably contains some industrial goodies. This was posted on the urbex froum but here seems more busy :)

It would seem these malting have already been visted and are listed on "nobodythere" and theres a thread way down on here linking to it  Go ahead and delete this thread, sorry!

Hey up kongzi! i was just wondering if these were the ones we'd been to and then read your second post! maybe the two threads can be rammed together..

they're really nice looking maltings from the outisde aren't they, but largely floorless. although i still wonder now if it was possible to crawl along the beam and get to a concrete floor of the place. i reckon it would be, but not recommended on your own since it was pretty precarious..

like the pigeon pic! :) is that in one of the pointy stacks?

I thought I'd found some thing new, hello deflation! :D The pigeon was having a kip on some kinda device that looked like it filled a lorry up with something,

Middle left of the building, blue bit dangling down from it. I'm probably going to go back and take some more pics seeing as I lost the first lot, I'll post them in the old thread  this time though and stop myself looking silly ;) There is quite alot of activity next to it from the scrap car dealers, which is a bit of a pain.
