After waking up on New Years Day at 7am in a bit of a drunken hangover, I had the mad idea that it would be good to get the camera out and find some interesting things to photograph around Sheffield. I grew up in Sheffield as a kid and my late Dad used to work at one of the steel mills at Neepsend. I remember when i was young, he'd take me into the factory at the weekend. So kinda by luck and chance, I had a drive down and found this old derelict factory.

The site comprised of 2 buildings and a waterwheel, the buidlings are gutted and in a poor state, just waiting for the wind to blow the roofs in.

Used to be part of the now derelict Old Park Silver Rolling Mills, famous in 1842 for being the first mill to roll 'Sheffield Plate' - a fusion of Copper and Silver ,used by local silversmiths for Candlesticks and items such as Snuff Boxes, Tea Pots and Coffee Pots. The Club Mill, was a Corn Mill owned by a group or " club " of people to supply them with flour at cost price.
