I went and got myself a 550D and went to the Mills for its christening.

I went with another UE who I found on instagram by finding at his cracking pictures from the Mills and Abbey Mills.

Hey,
Fantastically composed shots, and hats off for getting in there!
Processing not to my taste, but hey we're all different. Love that the perpetual fan was spinning, it wasn't for my visit in Jan, I was beginning to think I'd cursed it!
Love the one of the guy (you?) in the open room!
Keep up the great work :)

Fantastic photographs! Can I ask what your method of Post Production is? Very nice style.

I had to go and spin the fan but according to one of the guys I went with it sometimes spins.

The person in the chair is one of the people I went with.

Priority 7, did you just stay in the original building? The only reason I saw so much was because I was with a Mills vet!

Urbex-SW, I use aperture and photomatix plug-in. All the photos here are HDR except for one. For photomatix I use a strength of 50-100, saturation at original level or sometimes decrease up to 10 points, detail high 5-10 points and a small boost of the luminosity as the detail slider kills the exposure/broghtness.

Once in aperture I just boost the definition by about 0.2 as for some reason the pic loses it's sharpness from the preview to when you actually save it/export it into aperture (must be the tiff format?). I then tweak the shadows and highlights.

Thanks very much! Will have to have a play about with some images over the next few days. :)

Excellent pictures, makes me want a 550...

Need to go here at some point, should be a crime that I haven't living so close and all...

If anybody could guide me, drop me a message :)
