Another one local to me, a couple of my mates used to work here. Looking inside its almost hard to believe it was a fully operational factory until just 4 years ago. After seeing the media 'frenzy' a recent explore of this place created I thought it'd be rude not to go and take a look.

History:

Designed in 1925 by architect Louis de Soissons the concrete and glass building had been making cerals since 1926. The building was given a grade II listed status in 1981. 1 of the most striking features is the large tubular building at 1 end of the site.

The site is now owned by Tesco who want to turn it into a megastore but this has been met with major protests from locals and a faliure to gain planning permission means the place now just sits there derelict.

Unless there is some positive future for the building they might as well let Tesco have before it totally trashed, dont get me wrong I have no love for Tesco! great photos thanks for sharing.
