Took a wander to here today, building looks like a fire has ripped through it, and had a mix of items from machinery in one room to sewing needles in another and blueprints in another.

Visited with Sean280, we packed this one in earlier then we wanted after a group of 6+ chavs arrived, shall revisit this one in the future to see what we missed.

Not much history on this one, it was used for Conveyor Belts And Systems manufacturing, and may of been connected to the colliery across the road at one point.

An overhead of the area;

Theres alot of un covered manholes on this site, ranging from 2 - 4ft and 1 hidden under brambles which looks to be a 10ft drop into moving water below, also theres alot of flooded sections on the lower middle building, and pitch black rooms, so wet gear and flash lights are a must.

When i originally found and done this place,only the buildings to the righthand side were disused and full of stuff.The lefthand side was very much in use at the time.
Wasn't long after it got blazed badly,at the time i felt a sense of guilt that i brought the place to the attention of destructive scallies.
It was orignally connected to the colliery in that area,the old workshops apparently but not sure if it was Bold colliery.
Good to see the place again,well done.

If you're going into dirty water please take extreme care in view of the infection I got recently which knocked me for an absolute six. :sick:

What a shame you had to can it because of a bunch of chavs, did they find you and start giving you grief? It's a perrennial problem sadly. I just hate how we all get lumped in with the chavs in the eyes of secca et all.

Well done on the explore.

90% of the water on site looks to be mixed in with oil and other chemicals, so its a definate infection risk if venturing into it, im not sure about the water in the man holes but i would assume what ever is spilt all round the site will of also seeped its way down into them.

The chavs just appeared from no where, we were on one of the roof tops to the right of the site and with in seconds the chavs apeared on the same rooftop on the oposite side, so we moved round and they then apeared were we had been. Having then moved again and them then apaearing once more were we had been we decided to climbed down and made an escape to the road, got the impression they were trying to get right ontop of us.

@Kevsy21, "sense of guilt" i wouldnt worry, this place has been on chav radars for some years before it shut, the field at the back leads right into a part of the housing estate were they tend to hang on the corners, and the field it self has been set alight plenty of times by them.

I didn't feel too guilty ha ha.
A few explorers have mentioned about the kids turning up and getting stones thrown at them,etc.
They are little rats but nowadays you can't give them a swift kick up the arse and ger rid off them because the police would arrest you.
